About Goatfell
Goatfell stands at 874 metres making it the highest point on Arran and one of four Corbetts on the island. It is a widely popular climb, with many possible routes of ascent. Different routes allow walkers to visit other near by peaks on the ascent.There is a viewpoint table at the summit: it offers fantastic panoramic views and on a very clear day Northern Ireland is said to be in visible.

The most commonly used route, begins with a path approximately 5km long, from Brodick Castle, and reaches the summit by the east ridge of the mountain. An alternative shorter and steeper route comes up from the village of Corrie. Parking is available near to Brodick Castle, in Corrie and opposite the Wineport Bistro beside the A841 road.
